To the administration:
It has been said that times are tough at newspapers around the country. But sometimes, it has to be questioned whether some of those problems have nothing to do with readership and content and all to do with poor management.
Here in Chicago, the purchase of Tribune Company by billionaire Sam Zell funneled billions of dollars of debt into the company, making it impossible for the company's flagship newspaper to stay afloat without massive cuts.
I know I am not the only one who has friends and memories that they are not ready to leave at Graduation. Like it or not, when we graduate on May 9, we will officially be "Foresters Forever!" People will ask us for years to come, "Where did you go to college?" We should be proud to say Lake Forest.

The juxtaposition of these two images is startling, and as I think about the way the campus has changed in only my four years, I get goose bumps.
I came in as an outspoken first-year student, using the slogan "I'm gay, but I'll be straight with you," to win the seat of Student Government Secretary.
